Articulous and Cairns Regional Council recently took the spotlight at the IAP2 (International Association of Public Participation) in Melbourne in 2017, winning the Excellence in Engagement Award for Our Cairns in 2016.
Our Cairns was one of the most successful engagement programs ever for Cairns Regional Council and was embraced by all sectors of the community.
An unprecedented 6,400 residents responded to the online survey and almost 1000 residents completed the avatar survey to map community values.
Digital innovative was key, and Articulous applied a number of unique methods to uncover the social, liveability, economic and cultural aspirations of the wider Cairns community including:
- Avatar surveys
- Storyboarding surveys
- Topical questioning
- Live polling
