Articulous was engaged to work with Tract Consultants on behalf of Racing Queensland to provide expertise in stakeholder and community engagement to support a development application for the Greater Brisbane Greyhound Centre (GBGC) located in Purga, Ipswich.
In 2019, the Queensland Government announced the proposed GBGC and that the development application would be assessed under the Ministerial Infrastructure Designation (MID) process. To inform the MID process, Articulous was tasked to assist RQ with the communication and stakeholder engagement leading up to the development application being lodged and the Formal Consultation Period.
The development application for the GBGC was lodged in mid 2021. It is anticipated the facility will be operational in early 2024.
