Tanya Neville has over 25 years’ experience with a diverse range of roles across planning, design, property and construction in both the public and private sector. Her qualifications include a Bachelor of Built Environment (Landscape Architecture) and Masters in Urban Design, along with Certification in Project Management.
Notably, Tanya’s passion for memorable and safe public places as part of sustainable city building is evidenced in her work with the South Bank Corporation and Brisbane City Council’s City Centre Master Plan delivery. Her success in the delivery of projects is underpinned by engaging a broad range of stakeholders, promoting custodianship and celebrating cultural heritage values for truly meaningful and intergenerational outcomes.
Additionally, Tanya’s diverse experience in Australia includes working with Brisbane Airport Corporation as the Urban Development Manager, Lend Lease’s Urban Regeneration business, on the Brisbane Showgrounds Redevelopment Project and the Queensland State Government’s, Economic Development Queensland focusing on economic development opportunities associated with the Cross River Rail infrastructure project and SEQ rail network more broadly.
In 2018, Tanya was responsible as the Project Director of the Citywide Strategic Engagement project for Brisbane City Council resulting in Brisbane’s Future Blueprint – a set of principles and priorities developed with the Brisbane community that is intended to help guide future planning and decision making for Brisbane’s growth.
She has recently returned from Christchurch, New Zealand where she was the General Manager for The Property Group and prior to that was a Project Director for the New Zealand Government’s Canterbury Earthquake Recovery Authority where she delivered a number of Anchor Projects as part of the reconstruction of the earthquake devastated city.
During her career Tanya has developed an inclusive leadership style, bringing together people from diverse professional and cultural backgrounds to facilitate robust outcomes. Her leadership legacy continues, having formed a broad professional network, both domestically and internationally.
