Building Better Behaviours workbook design

The challenge

Queensland's Department of Environment, Tourism, Science and Innovation engaged Articulous to develop the Capability Training Program, equipping councils with the skills to design and deliver effective behaviour change intervention projects in their local communities, to improve waste management and recycling outcomes across the state.

Our action

Articulous built a a complete training package from the ground up: a practical workbook packed with hands-on activities, 40 animated videos, and a purpose-built learning platform, all wrapped in a cohesive brand identity designed specifically for the program.

The training takes participants from the foundations of behavioural science right through to applying the government's own Project Delivery Framework in their communities, giving local governments not just the theory, but the tools and confidence to put it into practice.

The outcome

Deliverables included a comprehensive participant workbook with practical activities, 40 animated training videos, a custom learning platform design, and end-to-end program branding.

The Capability Training package will launch in 2026.
